
Level I - Module 1: A 6 hour State Approved Continuing Education Course for Registered Massage Therapists
Michelle Bardwell Shelmire, a Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Aromatherapist*, is excited to now offer an introduction course in Clinical Aromatherapy intended specifically for Massage Therapist. More and more essential oils are being used in massage therapy to enhance the client’s experience. ‘The Aromatherapy Massage’ state approved course is designed specifically to help the professional body worker to develop their practice with the safe and effective use of essential oils, carrier oils and hydrosols.
Level I - Module 1 workshop participants will learn:
- A short history of Aromatherapy
- Misunderstood concepts of Aromatherapy
- The basic foundation of Clinical Aromatherapy
- The chemical families of essential oils
- The importance of quality oils for therapeutic effects
- How to recognize quality oils
- The importance of Latin names and chemotypes
- How to build your business and expand your income with Aromatherapy
The class will also include an in-depth, hands-on discussion on at least 12 essential oils, several carrier oils and a few hydrosols appropriate for massage therapy with ideas on individual formulations.
